Quote-leftSmells of strong grapefruit hops primarily, with a light, but still tangible sugary maltiness underneath. In the mouth, there's a definite and immediate shock of grapefruit-bitter hops, which comes as no surprise, given that this is an IPA. However, the hops in this brew had a different taste for me than what I expected: still bitter, yes, but instead of resembling biting into the pink part of a grapefruit, this more reminded me of getting a big chunk of the white fleshy rind. Contrasting this was an equally powerful layer of sugary malts--and to give you an idea of the amount of sugars needed to make this layer at all noticeable, note that there are three kinds of malts in the mix. The result, on the malt end, was a sweet, fruity layer with apricot and flowery notes, as well as light caramels and toasted grains. Overall, I found this to be an interesting mix of sweet and sour notes, each of those almost at opposite ends of the scale (in terms of what is possible in beer). Some might find the result overpowering and unbalanced, but I thought the diametrically opposed notes played off each other well.Quote-right

Quote-leftOne of the better IPAs I have had.Quote-right

Quote-leftdelicious. lasting bitterness from possibly my favorite hop - amarillo (plus it's fun to say) - and it doesn't have the characteristic Rogue flavor, which is nice in this case. glad to see the name is back and hopefully it will stay around.Quote-right

Quote-leftI’ve never had yellow snow before. But if I had it would taste like this beer. This beer was terrible. I guess I just don’t like IPAs.Quote-right

Quote-leftGreat IPA. Had characteristics of an unfiltered wheat. Good all around flavorQuote-right

Quote-leftI haven't seen this in years. Too bad...Quote-right

Quote-leftGood IPA, though the hops are a little milder than some others.Quote-right

Quote-leftIt was great, nice hoppiness, light enough to have 2. Was at the Brewery last weekend, and wanted to buy the mini-keg (1.5L) but found the $42 tag a bit high. If it were Dead Guy, I'd buy a bunch. This was good, but not THAT good!Quote-right

Quote-leftNot as hoppy as I expected. It tasted fine but was not worth the very high price...$9 for a 22 oz. Has a beautiful golden color, for what it's worth.Quote-right
