Supreme Champion Beer of New Zealand
Incredibly hoppy, this firecracker of a pale ale will make your tongue jump out of your mouth, climb the nearest mountain and declare unto all that can hear: "THIS BEER IS TRULY AWESOME!".
It might not be to the taste of Joe Student, whose beer comfort zone is The Big 3 (Speights, Export Gold and Tui), but for those willing to jump out of said zone, Epic Pale Ale is a great introduction to beer that have great taste, depth and character and will leave them wanting more.
Hoppy nose, hoppy taste with citrus and grass worked in and a bitter, hoppy (surprise surprise) after-taste that lingers at the back of your mouth.
I don't know if something went terribly wrong in the brewing done for the Wetherspoon's beer festival but this was quite possibly the blandest beer I have ever tasted. A huge, foamy head was followed by a copper coloured beer that actually tasted blander than a pint of John Smiths Extra Smooth and, by God, that's bland! Embarrasingly poor and unsurprisingly this is so far bottom of the festival voting. According to the pump there are 25 hops in every pint. More like 2.5 to me!
A hop fueled dynamite beer that is refreshing, balanced and quite possibly my favorite beer of all time. I may now die.
Oh Yeah!! If you're a hop-lover get into this one!
Not bad at all! I'm not much of a beer drinker but this went very well with pizza.
A wonderful drop of the finest, also they have a larger now available in shops.
a hoppy punch in the face with a cunningly moreish finish
